All scarves are either handwoven on one of my two Ashford looms OR hand crocheted.
Classy Brown Crocheted Scarf - Very masculine looking. Extra long and thick for those bitter winter days. Made from my dark brown Alpaca, Donovan. This scarf is soft and luscious, not to mention very warm. It is extra long at 70 inches long. Width of the classy brown is 8inches. The blocky stitch is masculine and there is no fringe.
Houndstooth in Cream and Eggplant -
This scarf was crocheted from the yarn provided by Amara (White) and Amber. Amber is Brown but her fleece was blended with Eggplant Merino top and then made into yarn. The scarf has a reversible look to it as the rows were worked alternately. This scarf is 66 inches long and 7 inches wide. The fringe on this scarf gives it a light and more delicate appearance.
Woven Scarves -
"AUTUMN DAYS" - Tans, Browns and Greens. Measures 8.5" x 82" and made with a blend of Alpaca/Merino yarn. Plain weave w/normal fringe. This scarf also has a matching hat.
"PEAKS AND VALLEYS" - Navy and Red on Grey 8" x 60" 100% Alpaca Yarn, Clasped Weft w/normal fringe. This one was made with 3 color clasped weft on a warp of solid white sport weight yarn. The grey came up from the middle and clasped with brick red on one side and navy on the other. Nice colors for winter!
SAGE MULTI on TAN and GREY warp - Hand dyed sport weight 100% Alpaca yarn in colors of tan, teal, and slate blue woven on fawn warp (and a small portion of grey). This scarf is 7" x 74" including the fringe. Lightweight, soft and warm. With plain weave the interest is in how the dyed strands of yarn came together. Very Autumn feel to this one.
SKYLINE Scarf -
This scarf is made with variegated sock yarn in Red, Rust White, Navy and Royal Blue and a hint of Sage Green. Measures approx. 8" x 60". Made with Clasped Weft weave and and elegant twisted fringe. Clasped weft is one of my favorite ways to weave. No two patterns ever turn out the same. Since this scarf is NOT made of alpaca fiber it's not nearly as soft against the skin. But, it can be worn beautifully as a fashion scarf outside of a blouse or jacket. Because of this it will not be at alpaca prices.
